For Mac users, SecuritySpy offers an easy to use security monitoring and recording solution. The system is expandable and can provide monitoring and recording for an unlimited number of cameras. Y-cam IP surveillance cameras can be easily integrated with cameras and video equipment from other manufacturers and footage can be stored on the local hard drive, external USB or FireWire drives or can be stored on remote FTP servers.

Recordings can be made from your Y-cam whenever motion is detected or constantly using the timelapse feature. This allows you to finely tune your security system for you needs and storage constraints. The Yellow Video Internet Video Alarm system is a subscription service which provides a quick and easy security monitoring solution. The system supports up to six Y-cam cameras which connect through your Internet router.

Once connected and armed your Y-cam remains dormant until triggered by motion detection. At this point the images are transferred over the internet to a centralized storage server. The server stores the recorded footage and sends an alert to your email or cell phone allowing you to take the appropriate action.

This system has the benefit of providing access to your recordings from anywhere in the world over the internet.
