The Y-cam Black and Knight cameras feature a built-in infrared illumination which can allow you to see objects in complete darkness at a distance of up to 50ft. When used in combination with the Y-cam Shell outdoor weatherproof housing, you can easily monitor outdoor locations 24 hours a day and receive high-quality recorded footage.
The Y-cam cameras also feature motion detection which allows the camera to only record footage whenever motion is detected, reducing the amount of storage space required for recorded footage. In addition to this, the camera can notify you via email with images attached whenever motion is detected. This means that if an intruder enters your property or driveway you can be notified instantly and can take immediate action.
To record footage, each Y-cam IP camera comes with free multi-live software which allows you to monitor and record footage from up to nine Y-cam cameras simultaneously. In addition to this, the Y-cam SD cameras offer a Micro SD card slot which allows recording of footage directly to the camera without the need for any additional equipment, saving you equipment and running costs. Should you be monitoring the cameras directly and instantly need to record footage, the Y-cam offers a short video clip recorder which can store footage directly back to your PC without the need for any additional software.
The built-in microphone and audio support allows you to easily listen in and record audio footage without any additional hardware. This means that, for example you are having a dispute with neighbors or have problems with noisy disturbances you can quickly and easily record these events and use them as evidence.
